I experiment with photography techniques, including long exposures and intentional camera movement to abstract visual fields that transcend reality. Intentionally blurring my camera's focus, I create compositions that challenge conventional expectations of photography. This approach emphasizes color, shape, and pattern, with or without using a lens on the camera body. My work evokes emotions and sensations in ways that traditional, indexical photography cannot, and this frees my photographsfrom the otherwise rigid constraints of the medium. Experimentation uncovers connections between the world and my place within it.
